NAF Airstrike Kills ISWAP Commander and Eight Fighters

On a recent operation, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) under Operation Hadin Kai successfully eliminated a prominent ISWAP commander, Abu Khalid Al Muhajir, along with eight other extremist fighters in Borno State. This air interdiction operation was conducted following credible intelligence about the movements of suspected terrorists in the Sambisa Forest area.

The NAF utilized a Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) for persistent Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), which enabled the identification and tracking of the terrorists. After confirming the target, the NAF conducted a precision strike, resulting in the neutralization of nine ISWAP fighters.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame stated that Al Muhajir's elimination is a significant operational setback for ISWAP due to his knowledge of critical routes and tactical movements. The operation underscores the effectiveness of the NAF's intelligence-driven air operations in combating terrorism in the region.
