NAF Airstrikes Neutralize 60 Terrorists in Sambisa

On February 28, 2026, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) conducted airstrikes in the Sambisa Forest, targeting the Yuw Gener area. These operations resulted in the neutralization of 60 terrorists, including 18 senior commanders and 42 fighters.

The airstrikes were part of a joint task force operation, Hadin Kai, and were driven by intelligence from surveillance and reconnaissance. The strikes successfully engaged valid targets, dismantling critical terrorist infrastructure.

Following the strikes, battle damage assessments confirmed the destruction of logistics warehouses and command hideouts. Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodam, the Director of Public Relations and Information, stated that the operations significantly disrupted the terrorists' command and control structures and limited their ability to launch coordinated assaults.

Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sundai Kelvin Anek, commended the combat efficiency of the aircrew and reaffirmed the NAF's commitment to denying terrorists sanctuary in Nigeria, emphasizing ongoing intelligence-led operations to restore peace.
