NAF Praises LAWMA for Efficient Waste Management Efforts

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) commended the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) for its swift waste evacuation efforts at the Ikeja base. The commendation was made during a courtesy visit to LAWMA's headquarters by Air Commodore Mohammad Imam, who commands the 651 Base Service Group.

Imam acknowledged the deployment of 20 waste evacuation trucks to clear refuse from the base, enhancing sanitation in the environment. He praised LAWMA's commitment to environmental cleanliness across Lagos State and highlighted the reintroduction of monthly environmental sanitation exercises, which commenced on the last Saturday of April.

Imam expressed support for the Nigerian Air Force's sanitation initiatives and assured compliance with environmental standards. Dr.

Muyiwa Gbadegesin, the Managing Director of LAWMA, thanked the delegation for their visit and emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between LAWMA and NAF, particularly in technical engagements to enhance environmental management. He also mentioned the transition towards a circular economy model for waste treatment and resource recovery.
