Nigerian Air Force Assembles Two H125 Helicopters Locally

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully completed the local reassembly of its first two H125 helicopters at NAF Base Ikeja, Lagos, following their delivery by Airbus. The reassembly was conducted with the assistance of Airbus technical personnel.

The NAF described this achievement as a significant milestone in enhancing technical collaboration, facilitating knowledge transfer, and improving NAF personnel’s practical exposure to modern rotary-wing platforms. Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the Chief of the Air Staff, characterized this development as a positive step towards bolstering the NAF’s technical and operational capacity.

He emphasized the commitment to not only acquiring modern platforms but also developing the necessary knowledge and support systems to maximize their operational value. The H125 helicopters are expected to enhance the NAF's capabilities in ongoing air operations, including surveillance and tactical mobility.

The NAF acknowledged the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in strengthening national security capabilities and modernizing the Service’s fleet.
