NAF Unveils New Facilities to Boost Personnel Welfare

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) commissioned newly completed accommodation and recreational facilities in Abuja to enhance personnel welfare and operational effectiveness. The projects, inaugurated by Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, include Airmen’s Quarters at Mogadishu Cantonment and Abacha Road, 065 Medical Officer’s Quarters, and the NAF Valley Base Sports Complex in Asokoro.

Air Marshal Aneke described these developments as significant milestones in improving living conditions and overall effectiveness of personnel. He emphasized the importance of adequate accommodation and recreational facilities in maintaining focus, physical fitness, and mental preparedness among military personnel.

The CAS also announced ongoing discussions with banks and government agencies to facilitate homeownership for NAF personnel. Additionally, blocks of the new accommodation have been named in honor of officers and airmen who made significant sacrifices.

The projects align with Aneke's leadership vision of maintaining a highly motivated force through enhanced welfare and infrastructural renewal.
