NAF Conducts Precision Airstrikes in Sambisa Forest

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed the execution of precise airstrikes within the Sambisa Forest, aimed at eliminating terrorist elements. Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodam, the Director of Public Relations and Information for NAF, disclosed this information in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja.

The military has intensified pressure on terrorist groups in the North East, following credible intelligence and reconnaissance that confirmed the presence of active terrorist elements within fortified structures and bunkers. NAF air assets engaged these targets using precise munitions to destroy structures and neutralize multiple terrorists.

The operation is part of a broader strategy to disrupt and degrade terrorist networks, as emphasized by Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sundai Aneke, who reaffirmed NAF's commitment to relentless, intelligence-driven air operations until all terrorist elements are completely neutralized. The NAF also noted its ongoing efforts to minimize civilian harm while maintaining operational pressure.
