NAF Intensifies Air Strikes Against Terrorists in Sambisa

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its air campaign against terrorists in the northeastern region, specifically targeting strongholds in Sambisa Forest and Tumbun. According to Air Commodore Ejodam, the operations aim to dismantle the terrorist network and deny insurgents freedom of movement.

The air strikes were initiated following credible intelligence regarding insurgent locations, with significant operations commencing on April 30. Air assets conducted major air interdiction missions, successfully destroying terrorist infrastructure.

The operations continued with a strike on May 1 in Tumbun, reflecting a deliberate strategy to maintain pressure on the terrorists. Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sundai Kelvin Anek, stated that operations will persist until the terrorist threat is completely eliminated.

These latest strikes follow earlier coordinated air operations on April 27, which targeted terrorist positions in Guduf, located in the Mandara Mountain area along Nigeria's northeastern border with Cameroon.
