Jigawa Governor Discovers Officials Absent During Visit

On a surprise visit to the Jigawa State secretariat, Governor Umar Namadi found several top government officials absent from their duties. The inspection, which took place at 11 AM, was captured in a viral video showing the governor checking various ministry offices, only to find them deserted except for a few security personnel.

This visit was part of a broader oversight tour aimed at improving public service delivery and ensuring staff punctuality. Garba Muhammad, the governor's special assistant, stated that the exercise reflects the administration's commitment to instilling discipline and accountability within the state's civil service.

Following the inspection, Governor Namadi visited the Ringim Local Government Area to sympathize with families affected by a recent boat accident and participated in funeral prayers for the victims. He also assessed ongoing infrastructure projects, including the Sankara Kanya Babba road and the Jigawa State Research Institute.
