Nami Launches Committees for Niger South Development

Alhaji Mohammed Nami, former Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), has begun implementing his campaign promises to the Niger South Senatorial District after losing the APC senatorial primary. On Friday, he inaugurated three-man Project Implementation Committees across the eight local government areas (LGAs) of the district through his political platform, Team Nami.

The inauguration took place at the Conference Room of the IBB University Guest House in Minna, conducted by the Director-General of Team Nami, Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Enagi. The committees are tasked with overseeing various intervention projects related to education, youth empowerment, water supply, security, sports, and electricity.

Key initiatives include sponsoring five students from each LGA for scholarships to Police Secondary School, funding 100 JAMB candidates annually for 10 years, and providing 16 motorized boreholes in each LGA. Enagi emphasized the importance of diligence and transparency in the committees' work, which is expected to submit reports within two weeks.
