NANS Issues No Confidence Vote Against Power Company

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), represented by Isaac Ojo, has passed a vote of no confidence in the First Power Electricity Distribution Company. This resolution was communicated by Comrade Chukwualuka Paul Onyedikachi, the financial secretary of NANS in the Southeast zone.

The students expressed their grievances regarding prolonged and unjustified power outages that have plunged major student residential areas in Anambra State into darkness, severely disrupting academic activities and denying students their basic right to study under conducive conditions. NANS has formally notified the Anambra State Governor, Prof.

Charles Soludo, of their resolution and has submitted an official copy to the Department of State Services (DSS) to inform security authorities of their demands. They have issued a seven-day ultimatum for the restoration of stable electricity supply, warning that failure to comply will compel Nigerian students to mobilize for decisive action to defend their academic welfare.
