NANS Lagos Elects Ridwan Ajayi as New Chairman

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Lagos State inaugurated its newly elected executives on a Saturday, marking the commencement of a new administration. Ridwan Ajayi, the newly elected chairman, emphasized his commitment to advancing the welfare and rights of Nigerian students.

He called for unity among students across campuses, urging leaders to embrace a renewed sense of responsibility in student governance. Ajayi's administration aims to strengthen advocacy, expand access to opportunities for students, and foster strategic partnerships to ensure that the voices of Lagos students remain strong.

The election that led to Ajayi's emergence as chairman occurred on March 28 at the Federated College of Education, Technical Akoka, where a tie was resolved by a constitutional vote in favor of Ajayi. His opponent, Sanni Sulaimon, described the election process as strictly adhering to constitutional provisions, ensuring a fair and legitimate outcome.
