NANS Announces Committee and Timetable for 2026 Convention

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has unveiled a committee and timetable for its upcoming 2026 national convention, which is set to occur in Abuja from May 22 to May 25, 2026. Omotayo Oladel Samuel, the committee chairman, disclosed this information during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday.

The committee was inaugurated by NANS President Olushola Oladoja on March 8, 2026, in accordance with the association's constitution. The committee aims to coordinate activities leading to the successful execution of the convention and has established several sub-committees to ensure effective management.

These sub-committees include those responsible for screening, verification, venue, protocol, welfare, entertainment, accommodation, security, stakeholder engagement, medical emergencies, media, public fundraising, finance, election management, transport logistics, and accreditation. The pre-convention activities will commence on March 8, 2026, and run until March 30, 2026, with various deadlines for nominations, screenings, and appeals outlined in the schedule.
