NAPS Honors DSS DG Ajayi for National Security Efforts

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) expressed its support for Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi, the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), by passing a vote of confidence in his leadership. NAPS commended the DSS for its intelligence gathering and efforts in preventing security threats across Nigeria.

In recognition of his contributions to national security, peace, and stability, NAPS honored Ajayi with the National Merit Award titled “Icon of Peace, Safety and Progress in Nigeria.” The award was presented at the DSS headquarters in Abuja by representatives of NAPS, led by Immediate Past President Comr. Eshiofune Paul Oghayan.

Oghayan highlighted the DSS's role in creating a safer environment for students and praised its collaboration with other security agencies. NAPS called for ongoing cooperation between security institutions and the student community, emphasizing the importance of viewing security agencies as strategic partners in fostering an environment conducive to education and national development.
