Governor Sule Receives NAPTAN Education Award in Nasarawa

Engr. Abdullahi Sule, the Governor of Nasarawa State, was honored with the Life Ambassador of Education in Nigeria Award by the National Association of Parents Teachers Association of Nigeria (NAPTAN) during a ceremony in Lafia.

NAPTAN President Prof. Boniface Ogbu Odeh praised Governor Sule for his consistent prioritization of education, noting that the state budget allocation for education has increased from 26% to 31% and subsequently to 36%, surpassing the UNESCO benchmark of 25%.

The award recognized Sule's administration for expanding access to quality education, improving infrastructure, promoting skill-driven learning, and sustaining the legacy of free basic education. Governor Sule expressed gratitude for the honor, emphasizing education as the bedrock of development and reaffirming his administration's commitment to prioritizing education as a vital tool for socio-economic progress in Nasarawa State.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Akab and other educational stakeholders.
