APC Aspirant Liman Urges Peace Amid Primaries Controversy

During a press briefing in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Hassan Liman, an aspirant for the APC governorship primaries, cautioned his supporters against engaging in acts that could disrupt peace during the electoral process. Liman, who received 863 votes, acknowledged the election results that declared Ahm Aliyu Wadada as the APC flag bearer with 285 votes, while former Inspector General of Police Abubakar Adamu garnered 39 votes.

Liman urged party members to seek redress through proper channels if dissatisfied with the primaries and emphasized the importance of peace for the party's success in the 2027 general elections. Meanwhile, Mohammad Haruna, another aspirant, alleged irregularities during the primaries, claiming that many party members were denied the opportunity to vote due to the late arrival of electoral materials.

Haruna described the primaries as a sham and called for a review of the process by the APC national secretariat.
