Nasarawa APC Chooses Direct Primaries for Governorship

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa has opted for direct primaries for the forthcoming governorship election, a decision made during a meeting with stakeholders, including Governor Abdullahi Sule and members of the National Assembly. Governor Sule announced that the Nasarawa West Senatorial Zone would produce the next governor, stressing the importance of fairness and equity in the party's decision-making process.

He highlighted that this approach aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's stance, ensuring that every party member has a voice in determining the party's flag bearer. Sule assured that the primaries would be conducted transparently and in compliance with the APC constitution and the Electoral Act, leaving no room for grievances.

He emphasized the principle of equity and brotherhood among the senatorial zones, particularly noting that the Keffi zone has not produced a governor in twenty years. Governor Sule expressed confidence that the APC would emerge stronger and united, ready to win the 2027 general elections.
