Nasarawa State Assembly Passes N545.2bn 2026 Budget Amid Economic Realities

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has approved a budget of N545.2 billion for 2026, surpassing the initial estimate. Governor Abdullahi Sule's proposal was reviewed and increased by N27.6 billion to address economic realities, with allocations for various sectors including security, local government, and tourism.

Speaker Danladi Jatau announced the passage in Lafia, emphasizing the budget's focus on people-centric programs. The budget now awaits the governor's assent for implementation.
