Sila Agara Declares Senate Bid in Nasarawa North

Sila Agara, the former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, has formally declared his intent to contest for the Nasarawa North senatorial seat on the platform of the Progressive Congress. Agara recently resigned from his position as Director General of the National Directorate of Employment to focus on his political ambitions.

He will be contesting alongside the incumbent Governor Abdullahi Sule, who has also declared his intent to run for the same senatorial seat as his gubernatorial term ends next year. Agara emphasized the importance of internal democracy within the party and called on the state party chairman, Dr.

Aliyu Bello, to ensure a transparent and unbiased primary election process. He expressed his commitment to contributing to the growth and development of the state and acknowledged the support he received from political associates across the senatorial zone.

Dr. Bello praised Agara for his courage in resigning from a stable federal position to serve his constituents.
