INEC Adds Two Candidates for Nasarawa North Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has unveiled two additional candidates for the Nasarawa North senatorial election, which is set for June 20, 2026. The new candidates are Alaku Moham from the Action Democratic Congress (ADC) and Steve Ahm from the New Democratic Congress (NDC).

This announcement was made by the Nasarawa State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Moham Abubakar Sadiq. The election aims to fill the vacant seat created by the death of Godiya Akwashiki, who previously represented Nasarawa North in the Senate.

A total of six candidates from six different political parties will participate in the election, including Halilu Danladi from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Labaran Maku from the Labour Party (LP), John Paul Araneshri from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and Emmanuel David Ombugadu from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
