Nasarawa Senator Ogoshi Onawo Joins APM from ADC

Ogoshi Onawo, the senator for Nasarawa South, has officially defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) following his departure from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) just weeks prior. Onawo submitted a letter of resignation from ADC during a Senate plenary session on Tuesday, which was acknowledged by Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau.

His resignation is effective from June 15 and was addressed to the Galadima Ward in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. Onawo's decision to switch parties came after extensive consultations with his constituents and political associates, reflecting the challenges faced by ADC amid ongoing legal battles.

He expressed a firm belief that the current party structure no longer provided the necessary support for effective representation and development. He is optimistic about receiving support in his new journey with the APM.
