Daura Leaves ADC for APM, Citing Leadership Issues

Lawal Musa Daura, a former governorship aspirant for Katsina State on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has announced his defection to the Allied People’s Movement (APM). He cited injustice and a lack of stable leadership within the ADC as his primary reasons for leaving.

Daura clarified that his departure occurred several months ago, and his silence was a strategic decision to plan his political future carefully. He emphasized that his entry into politics was motivated by a desire to address Nigeria's issues, including insecurity and poor leadership, rather than personal ambition.

Daura described the APM as a winning party and encouraged Nigerians to support it in the upcoming 2027 general elections, asserting that it is free from internal crises. While he did not disclose the specific political position he is pursuing, he expressed his commitment to contributing to Nigeria's development, regardless of holding an official position.
