Ibrahim Sidi Confirmed as Clerk of House of Representatives

The National Assembly Service Commission confirmed Mr. Ibrahim Sidi as the substantive Clerk of the House of Representatives during its 31st Meeting of the 6th NASC held in Abuja.

This confirmation was part of a broader approval that included other senior officers: Mrs. Fortune Ihua-Maduenyi as Secretary of Protocol and Inter-Parliamentary Relations, Asien Fatima Nana as Secretary of Zonal Liaison Offices, and Engr.

Bashir Layya as Secretary of Estates and Works. Additionally, Siyaka Abdulwahab Sadiq was confirmed as Deputy Clerk, Legislative, and Dauda Bulama Bukar as Deputy Clerk, Administration, both for the House of Representatives.

Anyigor, the Director of Public Affairs of NASC, noted that Mr. Sidi and the other officers had previously been elevated to their respective posts in an acting capacity on January 20, 2026.
