NASENI Launches Tech Solutions to Combat Economic Hardship

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) is actively working to address economic hardship in Nigeria through technological innovation, aligned with the Federal Government’s renewable energy policy. Mr Khalil Suleiman Halilu, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, represented by Mr Segun Ayeyeonikan, the Director of Information, New Media and Protocol Unit, announced this initiative during the Oyo State edition of its empowerment program in Ibadan.

Halilu emphasized that NASENI's mandate extends beyond research and technology development to delivering tangible benefits to Nigerians. The program aims to connect innovation with inclusion by providing beneficiaries with technologies and livelihood tools.

Empowerment items distributed include NASENI Solar Home Systems, which offer reliable renewable energy, and NASENI Clean Cookstoves, designed for safer cooking. These interventions aim to reduce living costs, improve health, and enhance productivity, ultimately enabling beneficiaries to allocate more resources towards education and enterprise.
