Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Condoles Philip Salawu on Loss

On June 9, Mama Alic Salawu, the mother of former Kogi State Deputy Governor Philip Salawu, passed away at the age of 107. In response, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the Senator representing Kogi Central, visited Salawu to express her condolences.

Akpoti-Uduaghan conveyed her deep sorrow over the loss of the centenarian matriarch, describing her as a woman of uncommon grace, strength, and wisdom. She acknowledged the significant impact Mama Alic Salawu had on her family and community, highlighting her life as a testament to faith, sacrifice, and resilience.

Akpoti-Uduaghan also offered prayers for the deceased's soul and extended her sincere condolences to Philip Salawu and the entire Salawu family during this mourning period. The former deputy governor served from 2003 to 2012 under the administration of former Governor Ibrahim Idris and remains a prominent political figure in Kogi State.
