Gas Facility Maintenance in Nigeria May Affect National Power Supply

Seplat Energy Plc, in partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), announced a scheduled routine maintenance at the NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company's pipeline network and gas production facility from February 12 to 15, 2026. This maintenance, part of standard safety and asset integrity procedures, aims to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of critical gas infrastructure.

NNPC emphasized that the maintenance is essential to sustain optimal performance and reduce the likelihood of unexpected outages. During this period, there may be a temporary reduction in gas supply through the NGIC pipeline network, impacting power generation companies and potentially causing a slight decrease in electricity generation.

NNPC assured stakeholders that normal gas supply would resume immediately after the maintenance is completed, enabling affected power generation companies to return to regular operations without delay.
