NNPC Maintenance to Temporarily Reduce Electricity Supply in Nigeria

The Nigerian National Grid is set to witness a drop in electricity supply as gas facilities undergo maintenance. NNPC's Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Andi Odeh, announced that the maintenance is part of standard industry safety and asset integrity procedures to ensure the continuous, reliable, efficient, and safe operation of critical gas infrastructure.

The four-day maintenance period will lead to a temporary reduction in gas supply through the NGMC pipeline network, affecting power generation companies. NNPC Ltd and Seplat Energy are collaborating to ensure the safe completion of the maintenance within the scheduled time frame.

Upon completion of the maintenance exercise, full gas supply through the NGMC system is expected to resume promptly, allowing affected power generation companies to return to normal operations.
