Defence Minister Urges AFIT Graduates to Embrace Patriotism

On Saturday, Gen Christoph Musa, the Minister of Defence, delivered a charge to the graduating class of 2026 at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) in Kaduna, Nigeria. He emphasized that nations rise by choice, not chance, urging graduates to embrace patriotism, discipline, and innovation as critical tools for Nigeria's development.

Musa highlighted that the ceremony, held at the Ibrahim Alfa Auditorium, awarded degrees and diplomas to 3,000 graduates across various disciplines, with 2,112 trained in accredited programs. He stressed that graduates should not only leave with degrees but also as custodians of Nigeria's future, demanding integrity and accountability in their citizenship.

Ademuwagun also addressed the graduates, urging them to prioritize skill acquisition and lifelong learning to remain competitive in a globalized world. The event marked a significant transition from academic pursuit to national responsibility.
