NAUS Endorses KWASU VC, Applauds ICT Centre Initiative

The National Association of University Students (NAUS) has endorsed the Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete, during a strategic visit led by NAUS National President Dr Meshach Anthony Nwankwo. The visit included a tour of various facilities, notably the newly established 500-capacity ICT Experience Centre, facilitated by Senator Oluremi Tinubu through the Renewed Hope Initiative.

Nwankwo described the centre as a significant investment in higher education, equipping students with essential digital skills for global competitiveness. He emphasized that the centre offers more than physical infrastructure, providing opportunities in artificial intelligence, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Nwankwo urged stakeholders, including governments and corporate organizations, to replicate similar initiatives across Nigerian universities. Additionally, the delegation inspected the ongoing construction of the Kwara State University Students’ Union Secretariat, which Nwankwo referred to as a legacy project aimed at enhancing student leadership and governance.

He called on various sectors to support such initiatives through Corporate Social Responsibility.
