Navarrete Stops Nunez to Unify Super-Featherweight Titles

Emanuel Navarrete stopped compatriot Eduardo Nunez to unify the IBF and WBO super-featherweight titles on a dominant display at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. The fight concluded in the 11th round when the ringside doctor halted the action, marking Navarrete's 40th victory in his professional career, bringing his record to 31 wins.

Nunez, who had a 19-fight win streak, was deemed unable to continue due to severe swelling and a bloody face, particularly affecting his right eye. Navarrete controlled the fight from the early rounds, landing damaging shots, and forced the doctor to assess Nunez's condition for the first time in round nine.

As a three-weight world champion, Navarrete's next potential opponents include WBC super-featherweight champion Shaquille Foster and WBA title holder Lamont Roach.
