Navy and UBA Enhance Maritime Security Partnership

The Nigerian Navy, represented by Rear Admiral Mustapha of the Western Naval Command (WNC), has reinforced its strategic partnership with the United Bank for Africa (UBA) to bolster maritime security and contribute to national development. During a courtesy visit to Mr. Toni O.

Elumelu, the Chief Executive Officer of UBA, Rear Admiral Mustapha formally introduced the 46th Flag Officer Command of the WNC. He commended Mr. Elumelu for his significant contributions to economic development across Africa, particularly through entrepreneurship and empowerment initiatives that have positively impacted thousands of young Africans.

Rear Admiral Mustapha reiterated the Navy's commitment to securing Nigeria's western maritime domain, enhancing surveillance, and sharing technological intelligence. He extended an invitation to Mr. Elumelu to attend the Nigerian Navy's forthcoming 70th anniversary international fleet review.

In response, Mr. Elumelu expressed appreciation for the visit, congratulated the Flag Officer on his appointment, and reaffirmed UBA's continued support for the Nigerian Navy's efforts in promoting maritime security and national development.
