NBA Prepares for 33rd Presidential Election Amid Crisis

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is preparing to elect its 33rd president in the third week of July 2026, amidst a leadership crisis that exposes deep cracks in its electoral process. Renowned law professor and human rights advocate, Prof.

Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, emphasizes the urgent need for the NBA to confront five critical threats to its relevance. He notes that the NBA's history reflects Nigeria's political evolution since its establishment in 1900.
