Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya Wins NBA Presidency 2026

Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya has emerged as the president-elect of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for the 2026 term, following the conclusion of the elections held in Abuja. She garnered a total of 12,317 votes, representing 47.18% of the total votes cast.

Badejo-Okusanya defeated her closest rival, Lateef Akangb, who received 7,934 votes, accounting for 30.39% of the votes. Another candidate, Olumuyiwa Akinboro, secured 5,855 votes, which is 22.43%.

The announcement was made by Aham Ejelam, SAN, the chairman of the Electoral Committee of the NBA. The elections were characterized by a significant turnout, with various candidates competing for different positions within the association.
