Nigerian Boxers Prepare for Ghana Friendly Tournament

The Nigerian Boxing Federation (NBF), led by President Wale Edun, has charged Nigerian boxers to represent the country honorably in an upcoming friendly tournament against their Ghanaian counterparts. This event is scheduled to take place in Accra, Ghana, on Thursday.

Edun emphasized the importance of the boxers maintaining focus and training diligently, as they carry the nation's flag with pride. The 17-man contingent, which includes boxers, coaches, and officials, is set to depart from Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos at 7:00 AM on Wednesday, May 6.

The tournament aims to assess the athletes' performance in preparation for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, which will also be held in Accra.
