Nigeria's NCAA Forecasts $2.58 Billion Revenue from 25.7 Million Air Passengers by 2029

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) forecasts a rise in air passenger traffic to 25.7 million by 2029, with an expected revenue of $2.58 billion. President Bola Tinubu announced heavy investments in modernizing six major airports, including Lagos Murtala Muhammed Airport.

Nigeria ranks first in Africa for compliance with international aviation standards. Agreements with Boeing and Cranfield University aim to establish a state-of-the-art MRO facility to reduce overseas maintenance costs.

This growth is expected to position Nigeria as an aviation hub in West and Central Africa.
