NCC Demands Improved Telecom Services from Operators

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), led by Dr. Aminu Maida and ALTON chairman Idri Olorunnimb, visited major telecom operators in Lagos, including MTN, Airtel, and Glo, to address the poor service quality experienced by subscribers.

During the visit, Maida stressed the importance of telecom companies being accountable for service quality and urged them to implement strategies to improve telecommunications services across Nigeria. He acknowledged the efforts made by operators but emphasized the need for significant investments in infrastructure to meet subscriber expectations.

Olorunnimb highlighted the ongoing issues of poor service delivery and the depletion of data, calling for increased awareness campaigns to educate consumers. The visit aimed to showcase the progress made in the telecom industry and to encourage operators to continue investing in infrastructure to enhance service delivery.

Adebayo, representing ALTON, appreciated the NCC's leadership in addressing infrastructure issues and expressed the need for Nigeria to remain competitive in the global telecom sector.
