NCDMB Urges Oil Firms to Boost Host Community Development

On Tuesday, 2nd, during a forum held in Keffeso, the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) called on oil companies to deepen their impact on host communities. The forum emphasized the importance of implementing the host community framework established under the Petroleum Industry Act 2021, which mandates a three percent contribution from oil companies' operational expenditures to support community development.

Felix Ogb, the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, represented Dr. Abdulmalik Halilu and reaffirmed the board's commitment to sustainable community development.

The event featured discussions on leadership, transparency, and the need for clear roles among stakeholders to foster trust and ensure tangible benefits for host communities. Mr.
