NDC Condemns Killings in Plateau, Taraba, and Kaduna States

The Nigerian Democrat Congress (NDC) condemned a series of violent attacks in Plateau, Taraba, and Kaduna states, which have resulted in significant loss of life and heightened insecurity in the regions. The party described the attacks as evidence of the government's failure to address Nigeria's worsening security crisis.

Recent incidents included an attack in Angwan Rukuba district, Plateau State, leaving 30 people dead, and another in Kaduna State during a ceremony that killed at least 13 individuals. In Taraba State, two internally displaced persons were reportedly killed while attempting to obtain food.

Abdulmumini Abdulsalam, the NDC's Deputy National Public Secretary, expressed condolences to the victims' families and criticized the federal government's inability to curb the violence. He noted that President Bola Tinubu's promises regarding security have not been fulfilled, and called for concrete actions from state governors, including Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State, to arrest perpetrators and protect communities from further violence.
