NDC Reaffirms Dr. Johnpaul Ani as Enugu Chairman

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially reaffirmed Dr. Johnpaul Ani as the duly elected chairman of its Enugu State chapter, countering claims made by Engr.

Ibuchukwu Obetta. In a statement signed by Emmanuel Ugwuez, the NDC's state public secretary, the party described Obetta's assertions as a deliberate attempt to mislead party members and the public regarding the authentic leadership structure of the NDC in Enugu State.

The NDC clarified that a state congress was conducted in accordance with the party's constitution and the Electoral Act, which resulted in the legitimate election of Dr. Ani as chairman.

This congress was attended by delegates from all 17 local government areas in the state. The NDC also noted that a recent national convention marked the end of the interim leadership structure, solidifying the legitimacy of all elected offices within the party.

Ugwuez warned against any fraudulent activities related to leadership claims and urged aspirants to refrain from making payments to individuals falsely claiming to be party leaders.
