NDC Concludes Sale of Presidential Forms for 2027 Elections

The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially ended the sale of presidential forms for aspirants seeking to contest for the presidency in the upcoming 2027 general elections. A statement signed by the National Secretary of the party, Ikenna Enekweizu, announced the conclusion of the sale and the extension of the deadline for collecting express interest forms for state house assemblies, house of representatives, senate, and governorship positions to May 24, 2026.

The screening process for aspirants who have purchased the forms will commence on Tuesday and conclude on May 26, 2026. The NDC emphasized that no further extensions will be granted beyond the stipulated deadline and urged aspirants to comply with the strict guidelines and timelines.

Aspirants are required to appear for a pre-qualification interview and must submit relevant documents, including educational certificates, birth certificates, a declaration of age, passport photographs, a voter’s identification card, an NDC membership card, and a curriculum vitae, providing six copies of each document. The screening committee will consider the party's affirmative action policies regarding women, youth, and persons living with disabilities.
