NDC Sets Presidential Form Fee at N60m for 2027 Elections

The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) announced that the fee for presidential nomination forms will be set at N60 million as part of its preparations for the 2027 general elections. NDC National Chairman Moses Cleopa disclosed this information in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja.

The sale of nomination forms will begin on May 13, 2026, and will run until May 18, 2026. The party has advised aspirants to prepare for a screening exercise scheduled for May 21 to May 23, 2026, with completed forms due by May 25, 2026.

Appeals regarding the screening process will be entertained on May 25 and 26, 2026. The primaries for various offices are set for May 27 and 28, 2026, with the presidential primary election slated for May 29, 2026.

Cleopa clarified that all aspirants must sign an undertaking in line with the party's guidelines and code of conduct. The NDC has adopted an open secret ballot system for its primaries to ensure credibility and fairness.
