NDC to Present Financial Statement and Campaign Council

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that its third National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting will take place on Monday at the JD event centre, Kashim Ibrahim Way, Maitama, Abuja, starting at 10 am. Osa Director, the National Publicity Secretary of the NDC, stated that a key feature of the meeting will be the presentation of the party’s Statement of Account by the National Treasurer.

This initiative reflects the NDC's commitment to transparency and accountability, challenging other political parties, particularly the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), to adopt similar financial openness. Director noted that due to economic hardships, about 80% of the party's candidates could not afford the Expression of Interest forms, prompting the NDC to provide these forms free of charge.

The NEC meeting will also unveil the National Campaign Council (NCC), which encompasses various campaign councils for different electoral positions, and candidates will receive Certificates of Return for their respective offices.
