NDC to Present Financial Statement and Campaign Council

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that its third National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting will take place on Monday at JD event centre, Kashim Ibrahim Way, opposite A-class park, Maitama, Abuja, starting at 10 am. Osa Director, the National Publicity Secretary of the NDC, stated that a significant aspect of the meeting will be the release and presentation of the party's Statement of Account by the National Treasurer, emphasizing the party's commitment to transparency and accountability.

Director challenged other political parties, particularly the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), to adopt similar transparency in their financial management. He noted that due to widespread poverty and deprivation caused by the APC's economic policies, about 80% of NDC candidates could not afford the Expression of Interest forms, prompting the party to provide these forms free of charge.

The NEC meeting will also unveil the National Campaign Council (NCC), which encompasses various campaign councils for presidential, national assembly, governorship, and state houses of assembly elections. Candidates will receive Certificates of Return for their respective offices.
