NDC Prepares to Inaugurate Presidential Campaign Council

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) will be inaugurated soon, following ongoing consultations between party leadership and its presidential and vice-presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. A statement signed by National Publicity Secretary Osa Director, Esq., indicated that consultations with relevant stakeholders are aimed at creating an inclusive campaign structure for the 2027 general elections.

Obi and Kwankwaso have held several meetings with the party's National Leader and leadership to finalize arrangements for the PCC. The candidates will nominate key officials for the campaign council, including the Director-General, Deputy Director-General (North), campaign spokesman, and others, in consultation with NDC leadership.

The management of campaign funds will adhere to transparency and accountability standards, with oversight from the Finance Director and Deputy Finance Director. The PCC's inauguration was postponed from the first week of September due to Obi's travel schedule.

The NDC urged its candidates and supporters to focus on defeating the ruling APC in the upcoming elections.
