NDC Forms Reconciliation Committees for 2027 Elections

On August 7, 2026, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) inaugurated reconciliation committees in preparation for the 2027 general elections. During the ceremony, national chairman Moses Cleopas appointed Professor Pat Utomi as the chairman and Buba Galadima as the co-chairman of the committee.

Cleopas urged the committee members to execute their responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, integrity, and strict adherence to the party's constitution. He instructed them to engage widely, reconcile sincerely, and make recommendations that prioritize justice and the party's interests.

Cleopas emphasized that the committee's role extends beyond settling disputes; it aims to rebuild confidence, restore trust, and strengthen unity within the NDC. He reassured all party members that their contributions are valued and called for cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure an inclusive campaign leading up to the elections.
