NDC Raises N8.5bn, Spends N2.4bn in Financial Report

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has raised a total of N8.529 billion from sales of nomination forms, dues, and contributions since its inception approximately seven months ago. The party spent N2.402 billion on organizing events, including primaries, publicity, and staff salaries.

This financial report was presented by National Treasurer Dr Peter Onigah at the NDC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja. The meeting included key figures such as presidential candidate Peter Obi, vice presidential candidate Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, and National Leader Senator Henry Seriake Dickson.

The NDC aims to demonstrate accountability in resource management and has challenged other political parties to be transparent with their financial records. NDC National Chairman Senator Moses Cleopas stated that the report was released ahead of the party's first anniversary to inform members about resource management.

The party plans to present audited accounts to authorized institutions when due.
