NDC to Inaugurate Selection Committee for Elections

The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) is set to inaugurate its Selection Committee on May 25, 2026, as part of preparations for the forthcoming general elections. The committee will be responsible for screening candidates aspiring to contest various electoral positions, including governorship and state house assembly seats.

This newly formed committee will review reports submitted by the national screening committee and make final decisions on candidate selections. The committee consists of 21 members and will be chaired by NDC National Chairman Mose Cleopa Zuwogh.

The establishment of this committee is intended to strengthen internal democracy within the party and ensure a credible process for selecting candidates. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place at 4 PM at the NDC national secretariat, officiated by Senator Henri Seriake Dickson.
