NDC Zones 2027 Presidential Ticket to Southern Nigeria

The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially zoned its presidential ticket for the 2027 elections to the southern region of Nigeria. This announcement was made by Galadima, a member of the party, during an interview on Monday.

He assured that the NDC would not miss the deadline for submitting its membership registration to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which is set for either Tuesday or Wednesday. Meanwhile, there are reports regarding former Vice President Atiku's potential defection from the NDC to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), following the exit of former presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Phrank Shaibu, a senior special assistant on public communications, described these defection reports as "fake news," asserting that Atiku remains committed to the NDC's mission to rescue Nigeria and will not be distracted by such claims.
