NDDC Donates Relief Materials to Nigerian Correctional Service

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) donated relief materials to the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) in Rivers State as part of its humanitarian intervention aimed at cushioning the effects of economic hardship on inmates across custodial centers in the state. This donation was presented on behalf of the Managing Director of NDDC, Dr.

Samuel Ogbuku, by the Director of Social Services, Jeremiah Oritsejolon. The initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda and aims to transform leadership within the NDDC.

The NDDC recognizes the current global economic hardship affecting Nigeria and has committed to supporting vulnerable groups across the Niger Delta region. The donation was described as a critical contribution to maintaining peace and security by Mr.

Richard Mose William of the NCoS. The materials will be distributed equitably among inmates, ensuring that all benefit from the intervention.

The NDDC's efforts are also aligned with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including quality education and gender equality.
