NDDC Warns of ₦50,000 Youth Internship Scam

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has raised an urgent alert regarding a scam that exploits its youth internship scheme. On Wednesday, the commission's Director of Corporate Affairs, Seledi Thompson Wakama, disclosed that fraudsters are circulating messages on various social media platforms, asking Nigerian youth to submit their bank account details to receive a purported monthly stipend of ₦50,000.

The NDDC emphasized that it maintains a verified database of beneficiaries for its skills and youth programs in the Niger Delta region, and these scammers are using the commission's name to defraud unsuspecting individuals. The commission urged the public, particularly the youth, to disregard these fraudulent messages and to verify information through its official communication channels.
