NDDC MD Updates Tinubu on Niger Delta Legacy Projects

On a recent visit to the State House in Abuja, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), briefed President Bola Tinubu on the progress of legacy projects ready for unveiling across the Niger Delta region.

Ogbuku reaffirmed the NDDC's commitment to translating the "Renewed Hope" agenda of Tinubu's administration into tangible outcomes. He highlighted several completed projects, including a 650-bed hostel complex at Niger Delta University in Bayelsa State and an electrification project in Akwa Ibom State.

Ogbuku extended a formal invitation to President Tinubu to inaugurate these projects, which he described as a testament to the federal government's commitment to sustainable development in the region. He also mentioned ongoing projects, such as the Kaa Ataba Road Bridge in River State and the Omadino-Okerenkoko Escravo Road Bridge in Warri North Local Government Area, which are at advanced stages of completion.

The NDDC was established in 2000 under President Olusegun Obasanjo to fast-track development in the oil-rich Niger Delta region.
